I have Windows 98 SE Operating System.
In the start, my modem (DAX Internal) was functioning well. But after sometime either Modem or COM ports 2 and 3 are not detected by OS. Even Modem is not listed in the Device manager. Modem is installed in COM 3. In the same Computer modem is being detected in COM 3 by Windows XP.

I have reinstalled Windows 98 SE for a few times. But no use.

What is the problem? Help me !
