Yep, me too...I get a 52kbps connection all the time with my home built PC running on Win 98 SE. I just bought the Sony Vaio GR370 running on Win XP...nice unit but, I find that the modem drivers (version 3.5.22) for the Conexant-Ambit Soft56 modem don't work right with XP. I get a 31kbps if I'm lucky. At first I thought there was something wrong with the modem but, thanks to your forum I now know the truth. Can anyone help with any updates on a new driver. Thanks.
