: Folks, One thing that I have noticed about XP's install of modems is that it calls all of them HSP5*00. These appear to be generic drivers for any modem, something like the 'Hayes' compatible thing that ran with Windows95's first version. At any rate, if you allow the XP to install the default drivers for the modem that it finds, it will normally work, unless you do something else to the device. Remember, Microsoft's policy is to kick software out whether or not it is ready to be released. Good luck on your install.
