The PCI Input Device and PCI Simple Communications Controller are the sound controller and modem. You need to reinstaller drivers for these devices. Go to http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/swindex.pl?p=hppavilion31320&l=en&c=MicrosoftWindows2000 and download the Win2K Audio Modem Combo. Good luck.

: Just bought a Pavilion 7865 with winME. Immediately upgraded to W2K advanced server, and of course have some driver issues. There are two which I'm not sure what they are: "PCI Input Device", and "PCI Simple Communications Controller". Any ideas? If I can tell what these were, I may be able to find them on the HP site.

: Thanks in advance,
