I just brought this mp3 player, and had troubles getting it working. I am not at all impressed with the software that comes with it, it crashes all the time!
But I have managed to get it to work with Windows XP (without sending it off for a service upgrade, btw anybody know what they actually do to it in the service upgrade?). The trick to this is to download the upgrade of OpenMG JukeBox to version 2.

Install version 1.1, then upgrade to version 2, you will have to install the plug in for a different model, ie E3 to get it to install. Now you need to find the Win2k plug in for the OpenMG software and download and install that (it should be about 1.4MB).
Now when you plug the NW-MS7 in Windows installs a driver for it and if you start OpenMG you should be able to use it ok (even though the software crashes a lot when converting mp3s or cds to ATAC format).
It would be nice if there was a way to just copy the mp3s into the drive that windows sets up for the NW-MS7 and not have to use the rubbish software that Sony have packaged with their mp3 players.
