I have had my HammerHead FX for almost a year and because I have an ASUS K7V motherboard anytime I change the hardware I have to reinstall the whole system. On certain installs (most of them to be exact) I have had a problem with the the HammerHead when connecting it into a USB port that doesn't happen when it's connected to the gameport (SB Live! it never gave me problems) The problem is that the D-Pad (default set to a POV hat) will responde as a POV hat, but when set as a Digital Pad , it doesn't responde anymore. This does not happen on my Gameport though. I have two of these pads and neither of them seems immune to this problem. My system specs are:

ASUS K7V motherboard latest bios
Windows 98 (ditched Windows Me which also had this problem)
128MB RAM (like this really matters)
nVidia GeForce2 GTS
SoundBlaster Live!Value
Realtek Network Card
2 USB Root Hubs on the motherboard (both have this
problem it seems)
1 USB Microsoft Mouse (i don't know if this can cause conflicts but i always though USB devices could get along, but the pad isn't on the same root hub)
Gravis GamePad Pro USB (on the hub with the mouse)
