Im working on a Driver for a PCI addon card in NT 4.0 for our customer ,,,and using NTDDK4.0 for development and WinDbg for Debugging.
Add on Card posses two IOSpaces for Communication . Ive to communicate with the Sharc Processor which is on the Local Bus . Interface chip is PlxPci9052.
This acts as an interface between Pci Bus and Sharc Processor.IO Port addresses are Dynanmically allocated.
In the two IO Space one is Used as Control Port
another is Used as transfering data to Sharc.
I should write the Control Word to Control Port as Request
to access Another IOSpace..
If Granted then I could Write to another IOSPace
Ive come up till Scanning Pci Buses and Acquiring the Dynamically allocated addresses for my addon card.
As well reporting those Port to NT.
No i should write my control word to the Control Port.
Control Word is 8Bit Length, For sharc it is 16 Bit.
Now i need a solution to access the Port Directly using the DeviceIOControl Functions...
Can any one suggest.... Please
Thank u in advance
