Hi Marylin,
I had the same problem. I have AVG from Grisoft on my windows XP. I emailed them, got the answer, and it's ok now.
1. Open up your command prompt (start/run/command).
2. Go to your windows system folder (type cd: c:\windows\system)
3. type this exactly, including spaces:
regsvr32.exe avgxch32.dll and hit enter.
This will register the avgxch32.dll correctly and fix your problem.
