: I have been trying to add a 4 axis 2 button joystick to a HP Pavilion 6143. It is supposed to be p&p... but you know how that goes. I have referenced Microsofts KB Articles (q141854) How to troubleshoot a Gameport Joystick, (q181447) Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro and Maxi Sound Game Theater 64, and installed DirectX 6, all with no avail. In the Game Controller icon (controll panel) it stated 'not connected'

: Any Ideas????

I still need the joystick to work.. The joystick functions properly, but i am unable to have win89 see it.

HELP!!
