Boot to a floppy with scandisk on it or download seagate's drive manager, you need to scan the drives surface for bad clusters which is almost certainly why its making that clicking noise, either of these will repair the errors by telling the system not to use those clusters(marked as bad), after your PC should boot, but that depends on the information that was held on the bad clusters that cant now be read, the last one of these I did for a customer had the registry on bad clusters and needed that recovering before it would boot.
