: : First of all, I'm a novice so be nice. Recently bought a used PC from work w/ 2Gig HD formatted with NTFS. Would like to do a clean install of Win98 2nd edition by reformatting the HD. What are the steps to reformatting this drive? I've been told I will have to change the boot sequence w/in BIOS to get my Win98 CD to boot before the HD. By the way, I cannot get into Windows NT because the CTRL-ALT-DEL logon is not accepting the supposedly "blank" administrator password. I've got all the right s/w to complete my task (ie. Win 98 CD, DOS disks, even a Win NT CD accidentally left in the CD-R drive). Just need the steps!! Thanks to all who reply.

: If you dont need any of the data on your winnt system, you can just take the first DOS disc let it boot from the disc and then format the winnt. After that just start with your win98 installation. You dont have to convert anything.
