: I recently purchased a fujitsu 20 gig hard drive. When I tried to install the computer will only recognize upto 2.1 gig. I tried to play with the settings and nothing worked. I also updated my bios (what IBM website recommended) and nothing. Can anybody help me get this drive to work. I was told it is possible.

: Thanks James

Apparently your PC has a BIOS limit of 2.1GB HDD support. Fastest, surest, least troublesome way to get your 20GB HDD to work on your PC is to use an ATA/66 expansion card; it will support HDDs up to about 128GB. An ATA/100 or ATA/133 card (2x or more cost) would work but you WOULD NOT see much, if any, performance improvement (sustained data rate is typically 30 - 40 MB/sec). If you do not have an available PCI slot then you can use an ISA IDE card made by Data Technology (DTC) supports HDDs up to about 32GB.

Good Luck,
Henry
