If you read all the readable files on the CD(XP) you would have discovered the advice that your gameport, midi port and even your modem(even external)wont be detected by XP, HOWEVER continue to install the drivers, ignore the warning about incompatibility and system failure, click the 'install anyway' option and you will find, very probably, it works fine.
You know what they say.......'when all else fails, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS'
