i downloaded a file off the net the other day and now i have a virus..or that's what i think. I ran scandisk and it says i have a bad cluster in my disk. I cannot see my icons for the CD rom or my CD write drives.. I tried to load a audio CD but i cant hear anything on my speakers ..the program that used to run the audio files does not load either but when I have tried using the headphones on the CD rom i can hear songs. This means that it works. I can see the lights in front of the cdrom and cdwrite working too. I cannot access my D and E drives though. I put it in data cd but it does not show me anything. That is it does not automatically load. I looked in the system properties and i cant find anything relating to Cd rom or Cd write. This thing was working fine a couple of days ago. I just cant access them on my computer. I was wondering if someone can help me on this issue. I do not have any imp. info on the comp. so if i have to format my drive can someone give me good instructions or a website on how to do it. I read there are two kinds of format high level and low level. I also read that low level formating will restore my bad clusters. Would someone advise me on this. If this is a virus what kind of format would delete it completely from my computer. Please send me a message as soon as possible. THanks in advance
