Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my 80GB HDD (same appears with an 15 GB HDD):
(the following occurs with dos fdisk/format as well as
with partition magic)

One primary partition (15GB/80GB) with fdisk -> reboot -> format -> reboot -> ok!

One primary part. with an extended "partition" reboot -> format each -> reboot -> ok

One primary part. (or not) with an extended "partition" > app. 12 GB with as many as i like logical part. -> reboot -> ok! -> format each ->
ok! -> reboot -> the FIST logical partition is "mirrored"
as an additional partition without a name.
(eg. before last reboot: primary 10/12/20 GB (D:)
extended 60GB; logical "a1" 20GB(E:), "a2" 40GB(F:)
after last reboot: primary 10/12/20 GB (D:)
extended 60GB; logical "" 20GB(E:), "a2" 40GB(F:),
"" 20GB(G:)

I've tried almost everything: changed the size of
each part., changed the way i created them, copied
some files (or not) before the last reboot.

But everytime, i reboot windows, the "mirror" appears,
which has always the same size as the fist logical part, but i cannot copy anythin on that ghost...

Please help, it takes me one week till now.......

thanks in advance

indy
