: sir,
: i have a MAC 9600 runs on os6.5 , having a SCSI card also, i want to connect a EXt: SCSI drive, when it is connected it is not showing in MAC os , how can install the drive in it and format it in Mac format..

Do an internet search for Mac hard drive utilities. There are some utilities like SCSI probe that may detect and mount the drive, or some other formatting utilities (I think a free one called Micromac or Micromat). Commercial alternatives like Norton Utilities or FWB Hard Disk Utilities may also help (but if they don't then you've spent the money anyway). There's lots of stuff on the net...just need to find the info. BTW, I recently found a used scsi drive not identified by any of the above utilities because some of the jumpers were incorrectly set. Check the drive manufacturer site for jumper settings.
