: : How can I partition a new hard disk under win 2000? I cannot find fdisk on my install, is Win 2000 different from Win9x in this regard?

: : As well can anyone provide detailed instructions as to what type of partition I use?

: : Jeremy
That dude was a dope.
Just right click on your My Computer icon and then click manage.
Click onto the folder that says "Disk Management" and use the pane on the right hand side to partition and format your volumes. Right click on a volume to work with it.
And to that last butthead; Only answer questions that you understand. :/

:
: Fdisk is a DOS program and can therefore only be run from DOS.

: The only option you have from Windows is Partition Magic. This is a powerful tool which is easy to operate.
