: DMA needs a Busmaster driver only available as a windows static .vxd
Apparently not. I downloaded a driver from the asus website yesterday. It is a VIA driver, so I doubt it would work with intel chipsets, but since I dont have a motherboard with an intel chipset I cant test it. I works great on my Abit KT7a though. I benchmarked it in DOS 6.22 and my hard drive performance increased about 40%. AOpen and Artec also have DOS UDMA drivers for their cd drives. Ive downloaded the AOpen driver but havent tested it yet.
