i have been doing some os overhauling on a fujitsu mpc3096at, the hd is a 9.74gig, fdisk formatted it as 2.014gig (think it became FAT16), seems to be a reoccuring problem on this hd.
Tried to format from dos, went on for an age, checking allocation units around 8,030-8,085, then again at 77,130--77,200.

i have also been using partiton magic6 to try and get some life out of it, but it would always stop/freeze when tryin to address a format command..

i thought this would prove that the hd is pretty screwed, is it time to freak with the MBR. i dont think this drive has been used as a 10gig ever and....
thanx in advance
