I am trying to install a Flipdisk (www.amacom-tech.com) on my Campaq Armada 7750mt and I am having trouble with the laptop not giving me a drive letter. I have went to their tech site and followed all their trouble shooting suggestions. It still don't work. I can make it work in several other laptops, but not a Compaq. I am looking for suggestions on how to make this work. I could buy the Parallel cable from their website, but I'm not sure if I need a power supply too, or if the Compaq will not support this device. I've tried to contact Amacom, but it is an international number and doesn't seem to work. I do have infared support disable and System devices sees the drive and things look normal, I just don't get a Drive letter. It powers up and I can hear it spinning. Is there a different PCMCIA driver that I might could try ? I didn't find any on the Compaq web site. My current drivers say Texas Instruments PCMCIA.
