: You can look for a free BIOS update on the mainboard maker's web site (no point looking anyplace else); you need to know your mainboard maker, mainboard model and possibly mainboard version/revision. You can identify your mainboard maker and model by following the mainboard ID article at:
: http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto/moboid1.html: If no free BIOS update just use an ATA/66 expansion card (UDMA/33, ATA/100 or ATA/133 will give about the same performance as ATA/66 since HDD sustained data transfer rate is the limiting factor); all will support HDDs up to about 128 GB or more.
