here what I found on the http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/mcu/support/forum/200109/0041.html

Quantum CX and Quantum LCT hard disks.

In one of our pc's we had a 20.4G Quantum Fireball CX hard disk with a
failing TDA5247HT chip. Apparently some kind of fireball came out of this
chip, leaving a big hole in it. It seemes to me more people suffer from
defects in HD's with this chip. We were lucky to find an old 13G CXdisk at
our supplier and after swapping the pcb's we were able to make the disk run
again.
If your concern is to recover data from a lost disk you can try this too. I
don't have any data on the chip, it seemes
it went out of production some years ago.
