I installed a new primary master HDD into a system that already had a primary slave. Both are Maxtor. I have Win98 up and running on the new HDD. When I used the startup disk, it created a virtual H: CDRom drive to use for installing Win98, which Windows has kept. My slave drive had been assigned D & E with Zip drive as F and G drive as CDRom drive. I now have C, D (lists as nonexistant), E (lists as non existant), F (has stuff originally from D), G (lists as nonexistant)and H. Should I partition and format the slave drive? Will that get rid of the extra drive letters, create D and E, and return my Zip and CD drives to F and G respectively? Any help is greatly appreciated... I've been battling with this new system "upgrade" for 3 weeks now.
