: Hi... when downloading some songs from the net, on my screen appeared error messages "error reading drive c:" or "error writing to drive d:", {drive d its a partition on same hdd}, i ran scandisk, the result was: "theres a problem with the fat32 file system, copy 2 its better than copy 1, scandisk will fix it", but scandisk couldnt fix it, because it said that it couldnt access drive c:, i ended up rebooting the pc, and then my hdd {fujitsu mpg3204at, 20G} wasnt being recognized by the bios, and this is my situation now... im writing this from my brothers pc, i tried to connect the damaged hdd as a slave disk for this primary hdd, but it still not recognized by the bios {a award bios that i`ve allready updated}...

: could this be some kind of virus? how to fix it?
: any sugestions, solutions?

: im desperate here, my college work is all on that drive, how can i access it and copy the files to some other drive when its not recognized?

: thanks

You MAY have a virus problem meaning that you have a tough job ahead.

Read about data recovery (and virus clearing) at:

There's a lot of info, some good free stuff and some commercial data recovery tools.

Good Luck,
