Sometimes (a few times per week) Windows doesn't start.
In the BIOS I can see that at that time the BIOS does not recognize the HDD.
After applying the "automatic detection" the HDD is
almost always recognised immediately (sometimes more
attempts are necessary)and the system works fine.
Also when working, I sometimes get a "blue screen" (W2000 systemabend) and after restarting I can see
that the same problem applies (no HDD).
Also when working, I quite often hear a lot of "clicking" noise from the HDD.The HDD is a Maxtor 60 GB 7200rpm (0,5 year old).
I'm rather worried about it because the frequency seems
to increase.
Do you think it is a hardware-failure ?
