Hi,
if completely formatting your haddrive is wat u want the easiest thing to do is as follows.

while your in windows shut down in MSDOS mode.

then type: FORMAT c: /s

c - drive letter
/s - creates system area

this procedure will completey format your hard drive.

when u next restart your computer make sure u have a Windows system recovery disk in 'a drive' u can then cleanly install windows 98 or 2000.

Formatting time varies depending on disk size
