: : I'm looking for download the Ontrack Disk Manager to install a Fireball lct 10 3,5" Series in my MMX 233 Computer (Windows 98) since I couldn't have it from the Quantum site.

:
: IF you are looking for larger HDD support - just use an ATA/66 card (about $20 USD); it will support HDDs up to about 128 GB.

: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you AVOID drive overlay programs (such as Disk Manager) in general and especially if you have more than one HDD and they are not identical. If you DO decide to use a drive overlay - backup your keeper files to CD-R OFTEN.

: Good Luck,

Dear Henry
I went througt a great deal of topics in this site and read several of yours interventions! Your are a giant in this field and a helper of the best quality! Thank you very much fou your advice. I'll ask for a technician for intall the ATA/66 and do this job for me.
I also went on searching for this answer and ask Maxtor for the drive. I found that Maxtor no longer licenses the Ontrack® Disk Manager software and it has been removed from their software download page as of 8/28/01. All new drive installations or existing drive reinstallations for Quantum® ATA hard drives should be performed using Maxtor's MaxBlast Plus (v1.27S or newer) or MaxBlast Plus II software. The MaxBlast software can be downloaded from Maxtor's Maxtor Software Download Page. (I read one of your answers in this site, where you said that maybe the Maxtor software could apply - but this is not the case, since the recomended action is to use the ATA/66 card.)

Thank you again, and success
Larry
