: I got a IBM 40GB hard disk as slave and
: partitioned in E: and D:
: When I restarted the PC last time I got a failure
: message telling me that Explorer is not working ok
: and the PC hangs.
: I started the PC with a startup disk and run Scandisk
: Drive E is ok, but the system can not read from D: .
: Drive D:it is presented in windows explorer but when you click on it , it says that there is some component in the system that is not working ok.
: I would like to get some help about how to access
: the D: drive or what to do in order to recover the
: data in it.
: Why is only drive E: readable ?
: Before this happened I used to have these drivers hidden using Tweak Me Gold for win98.
: Is there any register that has been corrupted ?

: Many thanks in advance!

Boot to a Dos C:\ promt and type, C:\scanreg/fix or scangreg/restore which will give you the last 5 backups of the registry, pick a date before the trouble started.

Also C:\fdisk/mbr for one harddrive.
C:\fdisk/cmbr for more than one drive and enter drive number ( 2 )
