Hi. I don't quite understand your response. The messages as noted by the original query occur, at least for me, in Windows XP, which is supposed to load the correct drivers automatically. The problem occurs with all three extra disks I have tried (which are listed as XP supported on the MS website), every time I boot. I am able to access the disk fine after the error message, but an exclamation point is next to the disk in the Device Manager. Retries at installing the driver, as code 28 suggests, just replays the original error. Anything you think might help here? Thanks!
