As far as I could tell a part of my surface became corrupted. The noise reminded me of a click of death I had with a Zip drive.
The system would freeze . Eventually returned back to supplier and had it replaced.
Suggest you backup (took me 3 days to recover what I could)

: Does anyone esle own this 13.0GB drive?

: If so, does yours make a loud clicking noise when disk access takes place. Mine's quiete when spinning, but seems really loud when I click to run anything.

: I'm very worried, and feel like I'm being ripped off as the drive might be on it's last legs.

: Can ANYONE out there help me?
