How did you go about "reinstalling" it as an IBM? Did you remove it from the device manager and then restart windows? (or are you talking about using IBM's diskmanager utility or something to that sort)?


: Actually your problem is that your hardrive is installed as a generic. If you reinstall it as an IBM then you wont have the problem. I had the same problem. Hope this helps
