fdisk has an undocumented switch, if you run it from the command line A:> following a floppy boot up it will attempt, please note *attempt*, to re-instate the MBR, frequently it fails often it works, you pays your money you takes your chance.
type fdisk/mbr, but blame MS if it screws your FAT.
