In order for my CD-R writer to work correctly, I must enable my hard drive to disconnect. I have a 20.5GB IBM Deskstar (model DPTA-372050) which is running of the GENERIC IDE DISK TYPE47 device manager in WIndows98. WHen I go into the properties, the ALLOW DISCONNECT box is greyed out. I checked the IMB website for a specific driver, and their FAQ stated that there was none. How can I enable my Hard Drive to DISCONNECT using my current driver? I will thank you a zillion times if you can help with this problem! :)
