: ok heres the deal, in the system settings in win 95 under hard disc controllers, my IDE ports 1 and 2 have the yellow circle with the exclamation point in them this is causing drives c: (hard disc) and D: (cd-rom)to gointo compatibility mode. I went through my config.sys and autoecec.bat files and found no conflicts or problems. when i click on the proporties for the effected IDE ports it says it is not working correctly, doesnt have the right drivers, and so on . this problem came suddenly, I have a feeling it cd-rom drive caused the problem but im not sure. HELP PLEASE! thank you
