Congratulations... you have caught the KAK worm that has plagued me for the past month or so, until I finally figured out how to remove it.

You have to remove all files from your system containing kak. A quick way to locate the files is to use the find files or folders function from the start menu. Type in kak and search your C: drive. Note the locations of the files and remove any indicating kak.

There should be a kak.htm document in your windows folder or your windows\system folder

Also, if you use Outlook Express, check the signature file (in the Tools\Options\Signatures tab) remove any signature that looks like it is infected.

Also check your autoexec.bat file and look for anything indicating kak and delete that line from the registry.

Go to start menu\run and type in regedit to list your registries Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT_VERSION\RUN and look in the right window for anything indicating kak and remove it.

You must do all of this before rebooting, if not, any files remaining on the harddrive may regenerate and replace the deleted files.

Hope this helps!
