: How the heck do I get that nasty little "EZ-Drive is not controlling any hard drives" or whatever message off my hard drive while it is booting? I have tried to remove it with the uninstall method but it still leaves that little message everytime it boots. Formatting doesn't help either because its still there. If EZ-Drive drivers is not installed why does this message still haunt me?? Please help!!!

I came across your note when looking for some similar information - it's a bit old, but nevertheless... If you haven't got there already, have a look at the Western Digital site, where they have an FAQ on EZ Drive, including removal. The specific URL is http://www.westerndigital.com/service/FAQ/ezdrive.html
