: first sorry for my English
: I have big problems to install a HDD with
: 10 GB (IBM DTTA 351010). I think its a BIOS Problem.
: But Iam not sure.
: I tried to install it with the help from the diskmanager
: from IBM.
: The formating seems to work, but after the reboot
: the HDD is also unknown,it hasn't a drive letter.
: The autodetection recognize the HDD with the right
: name but with the wrong size (~8700MB).
: Has anyone an additional idea?
: Thanks
: Achim
ACHIM, YOU MUST GO TO BIOS AND SETUP YOUR PARAMETERS YOURSELF, DO NOT AUTO DETECT YOUR DRIVE
ALSO CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR BOARD IS LBA COMPATIBLE
IF NOT THEN YOU HAVE TO USE SOME TYPE OF DISK UTILIY TO USE YOUR DRIVE. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR DRIVE LETTER IN DEVICE MANAGER. AL
