: : I have 2 WD disks caviar 24300 and caviar 31200,
: : I want to configure the bigger one (4.3 MB - caviar 24300 )
: : to be the master - that my pc will boot from him , and that the second one
: : will be seen as well.
: : but no matter what I do with the jumpers either my computer dooes not boot at all ,
: : or from the smaller disk -( both have win 95 on them)
: : what shoud I do to get them both working ?

: Log on to the WD site www.wdc.com to get the jumper files on your two drives to make
: that they are both correctly set. I presume you have a CD Rom drive. If you do, most
: likely the CD Rom drive is set to slave. if so, set both your harddisk to master. Use
: two IDE cable to connect the two HD drives to IDE 0 & IDE 1. Connect your CD Rom to IDE 1.
: At your BIOS, use autodetect to recognise your drives. However, if your CD Rom is recognised
: by the BIOS setup, set its parameter to NONE. Most newer motherboards will recognise the
: CD Rom at BIOS SETUP. However due to some reasons, WINDOWS does not seem to boot when the
: CD Rom is set in the BIOS Setup.
