: If you are familiar with DOS interrupt call, here is a way to change your hard disk serial number. I have tested in Windows 95/98.

: Assume you want to change your hard disk serial number to XXXX-YYYY

: 1. Restarting your computer , press F8 -> go to command promopt only.

: 2. debug
: -a 0100
: MOV AX,6900
: MOV BL,03
: MOV DX,0200
: INT 21
: MOV AX,XXXX
: MOV [0204],AX
: MOV AX,YYYY
: MOV [0202],AX
: MOV AX,6901
: MOV BL,03
: MOV DX,0200
: INT 21
: INT 20 (Enter)
: - go 0100
: program termimated normally.

: - q

: That's all

I tried this code but got the error file not found ,I doubt my procedure of doing it. Actually what I did is after debug -a 0100 I kept on typing with only space bar and only in the end after INT 20 I pressed enter.Pls tell me exactly how do I type it.....?
