: hello all,
: I use a Acer Travelmate353TE notebook. It
: supports dualview in the WinMe,but the dualview
: fuction doesn't work at Win2K. The display card
: seems to be Trident CyberBlade Ai1 AGP(81) ,
: who can tell me a solution? thanks in advance!

I have a KDS Valiant 6000 series computer and it uses the Trident CyberBlade Ai1 AGP(88) driver. Like yours it supports dual monitors in WinME, though I wisely removed ME and installed Win98, where it also supports Dual monitors. I read the documentation in one of the files with the driver and it said that the CyberBlade Ai1 supports dual monitors only in 98/NT 4.0. The fact that it supports dual monitors in ME makes me think this documentation is old. If it can support dual monitors in NT 4.0 it ought to be able to support it in 2000, no? Well, evidently they just didnt bother to write in the driver support for dual monitors in 2000. I am going to be installing Win XP spyware on my computer next week... I sure hope it supports dual monitors in XP...

In the mean time I really think there has to be some way to make this thing work in 2000, which according to microsoft is the OS that supports everything... Something in the documentation that struck me is that it said if you specifiy differing refresh rates for both monitors it will indicate to windows that you have more than one monitor where the windows desktop can be extended. The question is how do you specify this? maybe some techy out their has figured out which configuration file allows one to do this? somebody help us!
