Hey wendy

Sounds are enabled from the Start -> Settings -> control panel.

Double click on the Sounds icon and choose your choices,

for your video settings the easiest way is to right click on the desktop (not on an icon) and select settings from the menu that pops up.

More detail about the problems will be needed to give you much more than this, spec of your pc etc.

Try the help for windows that is installed on your system. All of the stuff in control panel should have help pages

: See...I said I know nothing....I even goofed on putting up this message! I recently had windows ME installed and apparently I need a driver to allow for the full colour spectrum. I am only getting 16 colours right now! Does anyone have an idea which driver I need? I also noticed that I have don't have the sounds anymore, like when I boot up etc.??????? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
