: i did a really dumb thing.1st let me set the background.i bought this PC 2nd hand so i dont have any driver disks etc.I then had a not-so-wise idea of reformating the harddrive only to discover that my display is now a lousy 16colour.Extremely distasteful!I opened up my PC to see if i could locate a graphics card but found none.A friend told me it might be part of the motherboard(if tat makes sense).I have a PC Direct machine.Intel 166 MMX. Please someone help me!
If you didnt see one it must be on the mother board. Easy to find out. Just look and see where the video plugs into. If it is on the motherboard you will need to find out who makes that mother board or maybe the chipset (read the chips) Find their web page and download the driver.Hope it helps...PC direct is an oem? (original equipment manufacturer? You may need to contact them if you cant figure out who made the moboard.
