Its normal when you are in a standby mode the monitor is on standby and the power is still running with minimal amount of electricty, so its just like your tv set with a remote.

: I've just bought the above video card. Everything
: works fine with it apart from the power saving option.
: I am running Win2000,P3 800MHz, 256Mb ram.

: My monitor is set to turn off after 5 mins, and whilst
: it turns the screen off the actual monitor hasn't
: fully turned off(there is still HT present). So it is
: in fact still on, it is just the screen that has gone
: into a standby mode.

: I have downloaded and am running the latest drivers
: from Nvidia and wondered if this was a known problem.
: With my old ATI video card I could hear my monitor
: actually click off with monitor power saving.

: Do I need to do something else????

: Thanks,
