: Even though I wouldn't recommend a Sparkle budget card it should be able to handle those games at lower frame rates, if you use Nvidia drivers try using the Sparkle versions(or visa versa) secondly try your BIOS settings and disable fast writes and read\write 1 wait state. Also check your graphics aperture it should be 128 with 256 of RAM, another thought try removing the last stick of ram you put in and see if it runs more stabely if a bit slower and finally this problem sounds like it could be an over heating problem, get some more air to your CPU and graphics card, try and keep the temp under 50 c if you can or at least 55.

Thanks for that I know that my aperture is 64, does it make a difference?
I had thought about removing the last stick of RAM but I thought that if it was going to cause problems then it would be with everything not just higher end games.

My motherboard bios does not let me disable fast writes and read\write 1 wait state - I did think about flashing the BIOS but I haven't yet.

I have used both Nvidia and sparkle drivers.

My temp is ok and I tested the cards performance under 3DMARK 2000 - (4100 score) and 3DMARK 2001 (2002 score).

Thanks again, if you have any more comments I would be grateful
