I've just upgraded from a Voodoo 3 3500 to a 3D Hercules Prophet II Titanium. There's nothing technically wrong with the card and when I benchmark it in 3D Mark 2001 I get great results. The trouble however is with the brightness when playing games. When I launch a game it's very dark and unplayable. Sure I could just keep turning the brightness on my monitor up and down all the time but this would become annoying (I'm sure you'll agree).

With my Voodoo card there was a way to increase the gamma of DirectX and OpenGL applications in display properties. With this card however there's no such option (trust me). I've installed the latest drivers for the card (Nvidia DetonatorXP drivers) but these don't resolve the problem. I've contacted the Hercules tech support but they're useless and don't even respond (I won't be buying a card from them anymore).

I'm aware that there is a software package called 3Deep that allows you to up the gamma for games but this isn't working correctly for me. 3Deep however does give me hope - hope that there maybe another similar software package that does the same thing (I'm unable to locate one but if you know of one I'd be thankful to hear from you).

If anybody has any suggestions I'd be very grateful.
