A company called SIS make the video card for the HP Pavilion 4440. If you open up the case and remove the powersupply, you will see a chip on the motherbaord that reads "SIS ####" That number I bet is going to be 5598. You can go here to download the driver.

Next time buy a Dell or an IBM!

: I just took out windows 2000 and put in windows 98 so that I can use my old sound card (my other broke and my old one doesn't seem to work correctly with windows 2000). I was going to have to put in windows 98 anyways since I'm studying for the Comptia A+ Exam and need to use it. I'm having a problem though, I did the install correctly (I know this becuase my dad guided me through it and he was a troubleshooting technician for 2 years, he works with networking now) but for some reason, after I finished the installation, I have only the option of 2 colors or 16 colors, this means crappy display for little old me, which blows. My dad said I needed the correct VGA driver (or something like that) for my computer, but he can't find the documentation to find out what type of video card it has, so he can't help me. He told me to go on the HP web site and see if they had the appropriate driver, and ofcourse, since it's HP, they didn't (Becuase they suck), so now I need to find the appropriate driver, any help would be greatly appreciated.
