I have seen this problem also. Try removing all your DIMM's bar one. In all my systems the Prophet 4500 does not like more than one DIMM with Direct3D. Not much of a solution I know, but I'm still trying to find a real answer.

: I have this card on a fresh install.

: I am running a 667 celeron on a motherboard with the via chipset. (newest 4 in ones installed)

: I have 650 mb of ram and until now have never had any problems (tnt2 ultra card )

: My problem comes from the direct x test like direct draw and such.....when the little cube is supposed to float full screen it is not there. Becuase of this when I boot a game fullscreen I get sent to the desktop.

: Also the agp texture test says it is not available . Now my bios has agp on 2x which is the cards rating, apeture size I have tried 32-256 with no changes.\

: What am I missing? I have tried the 7 & 9 series drivers off of the hercules site neither changes the cube problem but 9 solves the agp issue.

: My question is Does anyone havea 700ish celeron running win 98se on a via chipset motherboard working perfectly?

: If so what drivers are you using?

: Thanks a whole bunch everyone
: Jeff
