Thanks. I removed the ATI drivers, but now the new card is automatically recognized as a Geforce card rather than the standard adapter first (probably from my previous installation attempts). I looked in the Control Panel, but couldn't find an entry for uninstalling the nVIDIA drivers that may have been copied previously. The result is that it blue screens trying to load nvaml.cat.

: Before you insert your new graphic card, firtly you have to uninstall the old graphic driver first and after uninstall shutown the computer, remove the old graphic card and it will detects your new video card, this process will deal with any conflicts. If you cannot remove the old graphic driver try reinstalling the old driver first. Good Luck

: : I am trying to upgrade my graphics adapter from the ATI Rage Pro to the PNY nVIDIA GeForce 2 MX-200 adapter. When I first install the card, it searches for the "Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)" driver information and finds MSDISP.INF. When I click "Next" to go ahead with the first part of the installation, the computer hangs (blue screen of death). If (in future attempts), I select cancel during the standard adapter install, it will eventually crash on the nVIDIA driver installation. Any suggestions? I did extract the original version of MSDISP.INF from my Win 98 CD just to make sure it wasn't corrupt.

: : Thanks for any help!
