either of those could cause problems depending on how your HDD caching is arranged, you want the Max and Min to be set close together for best play back, however you should know that your system spec is well down on the recommended for video editing\recording, a PIII 800 or above, at least 256 Mb ram (512 prefered) and at least a 40Gb fast HDD (8ns access or better like an IBM deskstar, your average Seagate or Western just wont cut it)
