I too just loaded XP (don't ask) and have a s540 Xtreme card. It was great in 98. For John (followup post) I too got the Castle Wolfenstein error and went searching. There doesn't seem to be an update anywhere. Not Microsoft, not diamondmm, not drivers.com, tom's hardware.
I did however run the update of the Win2k driver.
I thought I had it licked as Wolfenstein loaded and I watched the opening movie. I set the details in the game to standard/recommended and watched the opening cut scene. Once it tried to load the game screen it freaked, XP ended it with an apology then I got my first XP blue screen of death. All within an hour of loading XP.
I will mention that ATI says that it will not join the Windows logo security thing, so you will always get that "logo failure screen" with ATi updates but ATI tests rather extensively on their own. Trouble is, I hoped 2000 would be a close enough match to XP. It's not. I don't understand why MS hasn't proper drivers for s540 or my Creative Live card. They have been out at least 2 years before XP has. Wait, now I remember ...MS sucks. Oh well.
